Shane Hutchinson built our new house in 2019. We found him to be efficient and hardworking. He was able to problem solve when we encountered difficulties with our build. His communication with the architect, engineer, and council representatives helped the build to go smoothly.
Shane is wise beyond his years, and his non-confrontational manner ensured the build went well. There were some difficult design issues, which Shane was well able to resolve. Without being pushy, he was willing to contribute aesthetic ideas which improved the flow and appearance of our house.
We are delighted with the result and have no hesitation in recommending Shane. We intend to use him on any future projects.

"We love our new home"
Shane and the team from Hutchinson Homes completed a complete exterior and interior renovation of our home at the back end of 2020.
This project included installing new aluminium joinery, removing an internal wall, constructing a large and multi-angle deck, squaring off columns that were originally round, installing a new kitchen, refitting a toilet, en-suite and bathroom as well as completely updating the interior décor from floor to ceiling.
Shane fully managed the project for us, including the scheduling and co-ordination of all sub-trades. We were always well informed, and the workmanship of both his own and other tradesman used on our project was of extremely high quality.
Shane and his team were professional yet fun to work with and made what could have been a very stressful time for us enjoyable and rewarding. We absolutely love our new home and know the work we’ve done has added a huge amount of additional value.
I would recommend Shane and Hutchinson Homes to anyone looking at a new build or renovation. They are a pragmatic, fair and genuine team to work with.

"Shane was responsible for all aspects of the project"
I have engaged Shane Hutchinson on three occasions to undertake work at Mount Manganui.
The most extensive was a complete refurbishment of an apartment where Shane was responsible for all aspects of the project and coordination of other trades. This was a difficult project because the apartment is in a high-rise building with restrictions around work hours and noise.
I am also an absentee owner living in Auckland so relied entirely on Shane's discretion with regard to many decisions.
It was a pleasure working with Shane, he is meticulous about the end result and has a great eye for detail, completing the work on time and to a very high standard of workmanship.
